Free Will to be with Jesus

Do you look forward to spending time with Jesus of you own free will? Do you look forward to going to God when you have a decision to make? If some of us were honest, some of us only go to church to tick the box or make others believe we are spiritual. In our scripture from Matthew 11:28, Jesus calls us to come to him; to be with him. When you are with someone, it is different than following someone. When you follow someone on Facebook, you're following their page. It doesn't mean you are in agreement with everything they post. The definition of the word "with" means the measurement of something side to side. In other words, you are in the same space with someone willingly. You ride or die with that person. Where they go, you go.

Did you notice the picture on the first page? Jesus is standing in the front by himself and everyone else is behind him at a distance. It's almost like they want to be affiliated with Jesus but not completely with Jesus. The 5000 whom he fed, can be considered followers of Christ. But they may have only been following him because they were waiting for the next meal. So I ask again, are you hanging around with Jesus waiting for your next blessing? Or are you so serious about Jesus that you can"t wait to be in his presence? This is a question that slapped me in my fore head when my Pastor asked this question. I had to do a deep dive on my soul to really address my relationship with God. I realized that I was not completely about God. I wasn't takng my relationship with Jesus seriously enough. I was a half time christian fooling myself that I was a full time saint (I am just talking about me). I wasn't being about God and the things of God 100% of the time. I am not saying that you have to think Christ all the time, day and night. What I trying to get across is that he should be the be first person you want to talk with in the morning and the last at night. He should be the one you consult when ordinary decisions must be made and when those split second emergencies arise.  I am talking about those select few who don't make a move without consulting God first. You know, those folks who won't say yea or nay without going to God in prayer first. I am talking about those who not just study the bible, they look into the deep things of God through His word. I must do better. I was in the boat with people who think they can put God were ever we put him and still have the nerve to think we going to heaven to live eternally with someone we did not give our best to.  Some will say God knows my heart and that is why he wrote the bible so that we would know what is required of us who profess Christ. You spend time on Sunday but don't think on him until next Sunday. Do you think God wants to be a passenger in you car and you can't even see where your going? I want to be in the car Jeus is driving so that when a storm arises, I am confident because I am in the car with the "storm cloud rider". I can't speak for you. You must answer for yourself. Are you just a follower or are you side by side with Christ.

Be blessed. Live blessed.

Do you enjoy 24/67 with God?...

Picture of thunders

Whatever the storm took, you didn't need and whatever is left, build with that. Show up with God and let Him show out!
