Consult God much?

Silhouette of a person kneeling at sunset.

In this issues topic, I am facing the fact that I am not taking my relationship with God seriously. With that being said, I am not spending time with God in his word or in prayer as much as I should. Matter-of-fact, I am barely spending time with God. I am saying a quick thank you in the morning and a sleepy thank you at night. This is not good and I am ashamed of myself. I don't say these things so that you will think negatively of me. I am confessing these things because you too, may be a half time christian. I need you to hear me on this.........we can"t expect God to keep accepting our half-hearted attention. To know better and yet, not do better is a sin ( James 4:17 paraphrased). The whole goal of this 3 page website, is to encourage you to draw near to God. It is in him that we will find our strength and courage to live this life in front of a fallen world as Christ lived. I want you to be aware of how much time you spend in prayer with God. I want you to be conscious of how you talk with God and if you stay and listen to what he has to say. I pray that in confessing my short comings that it will help you to get real with yourself and your relationship with God.

Be blessed. Live blessed.

Carolyn
